Dear Ms. Roughan:

,This refers to your letter dated Septenter 23, 1989, which submitted an additional drawing for the Model No. C-8 package.

The drawing which was submitted is not adequate. The application should be revised.to include drawings which show the general arrangement and design features of the package, the materials of construction, dimensions, method of-construction ' welds and the marking and identification requirements of 10 CFR 671.85(c). Each sheet of the drawings should include a drawing number and t':lision number.

.We understand that Amersham does not desire to fabricato additional units of the Model No. C-8 package.

Because the Safety Analysis Report does not specify the codes, standards and procedures for fabricating and inspecting the package, we plan to add a condition to the renewed certificate which will preclude the fabrication of new packaging.

Please advise us within 30 days from the date of this letter when this information will be provided.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, we would be pleased to meet with you and your staff.
