Quarterly Status Briefing This letter confirms the telephone discussion on December 8,1989 between Mr.
John Conant of your staff and Mr. James Joyner of this office.
It was agreed that your next quarterly briefing on the status of implementation of the Nuclear Fuel Integrated Improvement Program (IIP) will be held in-the NRC Region I office on January 4,1990,= beginning at 2:00 p.m.
In accordance with the discussion between Messrs. Conant and Joyner, we expect you to discuss the specific accomplishments of the IIP in the October-December 1989 quarter, the results of the emergency preparedness exercise held in l
November 1989, the plans for conduct of the safety program self-assessment in January-March 1990, and the plans for phaseout of pellet manufacturing operations at the Windsor facility.
