EVALUATION OF ZION SAFETY EQUIPMENT OUTAGES FOR SIGNIFICANCE The enclosed technical review report (valuates the safety significance of Zion safety equipment outages. These events were reported by event notifications on
' November 22 and-23, 1989. The. events concern outages of plant equipment that' Lwould be needed to cope with-a loss of offsite power event.

~The report concludes that these events considered together are of moderate significance._ The corrective action taken by the licensee appears to have been E
adequate. Therefore, no further action by AE0D other than monitoring this type of event is suggested.
