Senior Vice Presioent, Nuclear Power Tennessee Valley Authority 6N 38A Lookout Place 1101 Market Street Chattanooga, TN 37402-2801
Dear Mr. Kingsley:
SUBJECT:
MEETING
SUMMARY
- BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 DOCKET NO. 50-260 R..
This refers to the management meeting conducted at your. request, in the Region II Office on December 4,1989.
This meeting was held to discuss and provide an update on the status of the Browns Ferry operator training and requalification programs.
Also discussed were the status of the corrective actions presented in the September 14, 1989 TVA/NRC management meeting and the upcoming Browns Ferry NRC training inspection for the week of December 18, 1989.
A list of attendees and a copy of your handout describing your corrective actions are enclosed.
It is our opinion that the meeting was beneficial and provided a better i
understanding of the action to be taken by TVA in resolving operator training program concerns prior to Browns Ferry Unit 2 restart.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be place in the NRC Public Document Room.
Should you have any questions concerning these matters, we will be pleased to-discuss them.
Sincerely, Digine.i Sen3d Q' D?.UCE A.WILS3 Bruce A. Wilson, Assistant Director for Inspection Programs TVA Projects Division Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation i
