Our letter of June 8,1981 described the status of our program for meeting the Post TMI requirements for Emergency Response Facilities. We also indicated that by December 1, 1981 we would supply the balance of the conceptual design information for the data acquisition and display system and a realistic implementation schedule.
Currently we are engaged in efforts to implement the systems described in Phase I and Phase II of our June 8th submittal to meet the indicated schedules.
Due to the continual issuance of draft NUREGs and lack of integrated regulatory guidance on the issues of Post Accident Monitoring, Emergency Response Information Systems, Control Room Review and Emergency Operating Procedures we are unable to commit to a final system configuration or to an implementation schedule for Phase III.
We are studying the impact of Mr Clark's November 23, 1981 letter covering the staf f's evaluation of our design plan. Our response action to that letter will affect the implement ation schedule and by June 1,1982 we will furnish you an update on our progress towards implementation of Phase III.
