Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

'7 d'g ).ci' Re: Turkey Point Units 3 & 4 Docket f:os. 50-250 and 50-251 Notification of Unusual Event On October 16, 1981 a worker experienced burns to his lef t leg and both hands while working in the Turkey Point Unit 3 Containment Building.

The worker was slightly contaminated and transported to Baptist Hospital via ambulance.

The worker was decontaminated, treated, and immediately released from Baptist Hospi tal. He will require some additional medical care for the burns.

The Nuclear Plant Supervisor on duty at Turkey Point declared the incident an Unusual Event and r.ctified the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, State Warning Point in Tallaha<see, and the FPL Emergency Control Officer (ECO).

The FPL ECO verified not.fications made by the plant and perfonned other actions as outlined in Procedure 1101.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you of an Unusual ts ont in accordance with Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure 1101.
