Dear Mr. Denton:
The referenced letter requested information concerning simulator examinations for Reactor Operator and Senior Reactor Operator candidates. The schedule for the Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS), Unit No.1, is currently under evaluation, but the earliest fuel load date that we anticipate is April,1983. This indicates that we will not recnire any operator examinations in 1981 or 1982, and February,1983 auld be the earliest date for operator exam-inations to be conducted at the Wolf Creek Site. We estimate about forty " cold license" candidates.
WCGS has bought a SNUPPS simulator to be located at the Site.
In the event this simulator is not operational in time for these examinations, we will arrange for time on one of the other SNUPPS simulators at Callaway, Zion or Pittsburgh for conduct of the operational portion of the examinations.
