a) Letter to A. E. Lundvall, Jr., from R. A. Clark, dated August 28, 1981, same subject Gentlemen:

The purpose cf this letter is to respond to reference a).

The Calvert Cliffs Unit 2, Westinghouse low pressure turbines hate been sonically inspected and no reportable indications were noted in either the disc bore or keyways on any of the three turbine rotors. A reinspection schedule for the Unit 2 turbine has been established and it complies with the four criteria listed in the Safety Evaluation enclosed in reference a).

The same four criteria will be used to establish future sonic inspection schedules for the Westinghouse low pressure turbine rotors now in service at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plaat.
