Clinton Power Station Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-461 and 50-462 Construction Permits No. CPPR-137 & CPPR-138 This is in response to your letter of Auguct 18, 1981, whereby you forwarded IE Bulletin No. 81-02, Supplement ~I which reported on the potential failure of Westinghouse Electro-Mechanical Division (W-EMD) gate type valves to close against differential priissure.
Please be advised that Clinton Unit 1 has no safety related motor-operated gate valves manufactured by W-EMD.
