This is in response to IE Bulletin 81-02, Supplemen nA st 18, 1981 concerning the failure of gate-type valves to close against differential pressure. No Westinghouse Electro-Mechanical Division valves as identified in this Bulletin Supplement are installed in any safety-related system or maintained as spares at the Trojan Nuclear Plant. No further response or corrective action as outlined in the Bulletin Supplement is warranted.

Approximately twenty man-hours were expended in the investigation and preparation of this report.
