TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE E

.The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 76 to' Facility Operating License No. OPR-33 issued to Tennessee Valley Authority (the licenseel, which revised the Technical Specifications for operation' of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit No.1 (the facility)

located in Limestone County, Alabama. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.

This amendment (1) incorporates the limiting conditions for operation of the facility in the fifth fuel cycle following the current refueling outage, (2)- reflects new primary containment atmospheric monitoring instrumentation installed during this cutage and (3) reflects codifications which the Commission required-to' be made to the torus.

The application for this amendment complies with the standards and require-nents of the Atomic Ener'gy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Co=ission has made acpropriate findings
