Thank you for your letter of April 30, 1981, in msponse to our letter dated April 8,1981. As a result of our review, we find that additional information, as discussed with your Mr. R. P. Robillard during a telephone call on June 19, 1981, is needed. Specifically, please provide a description of steps that have been or will be taken to:
1.
Prevent hardware fabrication to other than appmved documentation.
The preventive measures statement is one of corrective action. This refers to Item A of the Notice of Monconformance.

Prevent perfomance of welding which is not supported by qualification records. The preventive measures statement is one of corrective action.
4 This refers to Item B of the Notice of Nonconfomance.
- 33. Prevent non-use of specified instructions. This refers to Item D of the Notice of Nonconformance.

Correct the status of the device that exhibited a lakb1 which indicated that the calibration was past due. This refers to Item E.a. of the Notice of Nonconformance.
Also, please provide the effective dates for the corrective actions of Items C and D of the Notice of Nonconfomance. The estimated dates provided by you for the other Items in the Notice of Nonconfomance will be regarded as effec-tive dates for completion of connitted actions. As indicated by paragraph G.
