Georgia Power Company has evaluated the conditions associated with the assumptions used in modeling the load transfer from the cross-over leg restraint to the fill slab and containment basemat.

It has been concluded that an error in the assumptions used for modeling constitctes a reportable deficiency. AddiH-'1 ally, Bechtel Power Corporation by letter dated August 21, 1981, has reported this event as a substantial safety hazard to Mr. Karl Seyfrit of the NRC, Region IV.

Georgia Power Company is submitting this report as an interim l

report and expects to submit a final report by November 6,1981.

This report contains no proprietary infomation and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
