- 12. DESCaiPirON Op utNDant NT / woDIFICAT CN The purpose of this Supplemental Agreement is to extend the period of performance from September 1,1981 to June 1,1982 and provide for partial payments under the contract.
Therefore, the following changes are hereby incorporated:
1.
Under Article III - Period of Performance, delete A in its entirety and substitute the following in lieu thereof:
"The period of performance shall commence on the effective date of this contract and shall not extend beyond June 1,1982."
II.
Under Article III - Period of Performance, delete the last sentence in B, Option to Extend the Term cf the Contract, and substitute the following in lieu thereof:
"The period of performance, including the exercise of this option, shall not extend beyond June 1,1982."

I'II. Under Article V - Consideration, add the following to Section~ A. -
"The contractor may submit invoices for partial payment in accordance with the following schedule:
1.
Following the completion of Tasks 1-3 described in the Statement of Work the contractor will provide the project officer and/or his designee (s) with a formal oral briefing in which he will address the adequacy of the data supplied to him by NRC, identify the need for additional infonnation, identify problems, if any, with the extraction of data or computer file format, and outline specifically the type of analysis he intends to perform.
Upon delivering this briefing, which must be acceptable to the prc. ject officer, the contractor may invoice NRC for the sum of $12,000.00.
2.
After the NRC has supplied the additional information or remedied problems identified in the briefing referred to in 1. above, the contractor-will deliver a second formal oral briefing to the project officer. and/or his designee (s) to provide a preliminary analysis of the information supplied, identify additional. coding problems, if any, identify. additional.information necessary to perform analysis of the data and outline specifically a proposed-approach to performing a final analysis of the data.
Upon delivering this briefing which must be acceptable to the project officer, the contractor may invoice NRC for the sum of $8,000.00.
3.
The contractor will provide the project officer and/or his designee (s) with a final briefing, setting forth a complete analysis as described in Task 4 of the Statement of Work.
If so directed by the project officer, the contractor will prepare a written report of his final analysis.
Following such final briefing and/or submission of written report, the contractor will assist the project officer during the discovery l/
period as described in Task 5 of the Statement of Work.
If the briefing / report is acceptable to the project officer and the contractor performs the consulting services described in Task 5, at the conclusion of the discovery period of the litigation, the contractor may invoice NRC for the sum of $8,500.00."
