The enclosed NRC Form 173, " Standard Order for DOE Work," is hereby submitted in accordance with Section III, B.2 of the DOE /NP.C flemorandum of Understanding dated February 24, 1978.

Funding authorization in the amount of $40,000 to begin the subject project was transmitted in my letter of liarch 25, 1981, and an additional $40,000 was transmitted in my letter of May 27, 1981. The purpose of this letter is to modify the original statement of work to add a Task 4 and to transmit an additional $40,000 in EY81 funds. The balance of funds required for project completion will be provided incrementally upon receipt of FY82 funds.

Please submit a proposal within thirt;y days which reficcts the addition of Task 4.

The proposal should be in the form of a Statement of Work and be submitted to:
