Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Ole August 17, 1981, Mr. Virgil Brownlee of NRC Region II was notified of a potential significant deficiency concerning cable termination in the connection box of the Boric Acid Transfer Pump 1A exceeding bending radius.
This interim report serves as the 30 day report.
Nuclear Engineering has taken steps to increasing the size of the connection box, thus reducing the bending radius probito_
Specific details including cause of the problem and corrective action will be provided in the final repor t.
