Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant Unit s Subj ect: Basis for the Fermi-2 Maximum Abnormal Environmental Condition in the Drywell J At your request, this letter provides the predicted drywell abnormal temperature and pressure response for the whole break spectrum including the smallest steam leak to the largest liquid leak. The envelope of the maximum drywell ambient temperature and pressure versus tf;ne is shown in the attached Figure 1. The attached Figures 2a & 2b provide the predicted drywell temperature and pressure response for the entire break spectrum. Figures'2a and'2b show that the peak containment ambient conditions are bounded in time by the respective pressure and temperature envelopes. P The break spectrum curves shown in Figures 2a and 2b were generated by General Electric for the BWR 4 standard plant. The BWR 4 standard plant is a 1100 MW unit with the same sizing parameters as Peach Bottom Units 2 & 3 and Browns Ferry Units 1, 2, & 3. These units have proceeded Fermi-2 and have essentially the same design and siz-ing patameters. Therefore, the Figure 2a and 2b break spectrum curves are applicable for establishing the Fermi-2 maximum drywell ambient temperature and pressure versus time envelope. Should you have any additional questions, please contact me. Sincerely, W. F. Colbert Technical Director % g\\ \\ Fermi-2 Proj ect WFC:sm cc: Mr. B. Little Ott'100383 810904 ' DOCK 05000341 PDR A PDR
