This. refers to your letter of July 3,1981, in response to the Notice of Viola-tion and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties sent to you with our letter of l
June 3,1981. ' Our June 3rd letter concerned violations found during our inspec -
. tion conducted on March 25 and April 10, 1981, of activities authorized by NRC

After careful consideration of your responses, we have concluded for the reasons given in the enclosed Order that the violations, for which civil p(nalties had been proposed, occurred as set out in the Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties.
Based on our analysis of your response to i'
violation IB, the penalty has been mitigated from Two Thousand Dollars to One Thousand Dollars. Accordingly, we hereby serve the enclosed Order on Met Lab, Incorporated, imposing civil penalties in the cumulative amount of-

Three Thousand Dollars.
After consideration of your reply to Violation IID of our Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties, we have withdrawn the violation and our l
records will be changed accordingly.

We have no further questions regarding the corrective actions you have described relating to those violations which you have admitted.
With regard to Violation IA, you are hereby required to submit to this office within 30 days of the date i

(1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid
.further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
