Pursuant to your request for an update on the status of the negotiations with the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency (KMEA) and the Owners of the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Burlington, Kansas, Kansas Gas and Electric Company would advise you that the owners of the Wolf Creek Station are actively negotiating with KMEA for the sale of up to 104 megawatt 1 in the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No.1.

Though no tirr, commitments have yet been entered into, all parties are cctively pursuing agreement upon the value, terms and c<.aditions on which a sale of a petion of Unit No. 1 may be consummated. At the present time it is not anticipated that the sale to KMEA will be concluded in 1981.
