Nuclear Regulatory Commission Order to Show Cause dated July 2271981, has been received and is under review by NAC, the owner of the packaging identified as NAC-1D.
In advance of your Order to Show Cause, we initiated an investigation into the surface contamination history of package NAC-10. This investiga-tion is continuing and we are also performing some tests to determine the efficacy of decontaminating agents used at various installations.
To assist us in our evaluation, we need copies of documentation used as the basis for statements contained in Section 11 of the Order, particu-larly any documentation you may have referring to the surface condition or finish of the package. This information is needed so that we can address all of the issues and provide you with reasonable assurance that the package will not experience excessive contamination levels during future operations.
