Gentlemen:
~
This letter is in response to your letter of July 15, 1981 con-cerning our requested amendments t o the Certificates of Compliance for the Model Nos. GE-1600 and CNS-1600 nipping casks.
Our original intent'on in seeking the amendment was to provide an alternative container as a backup to the container we presently use.
We understand that yau have under review an application for another model of shipping container which will also serve as a backup should need arise.
We, therefore, ask that our January 16, 1980 requests for Amandments to Certificates of Compliance 9044 and 9081 be withdrawn.
In lieu of these amendments, we request that when the Certificate of Compliance is issued for Model CNS 1-13CII under Docket Number 4152 that the authorized con-tents include provisions for transporting our waste form which we under-stand to be within the scope of the safety analysis which is provided.
Very truly yours, N
