(hereinafter referred to as the " Contractor"),

I 1EREAS, the parties desire to modif Contract No. NRC- 04-76-323 as hereinafter ovided, and this supplementa'l agreement is authorized by law, including the ergy Reorganization Act of 1974, as amended, and the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
!!0W, THEREFORE, said contract is hereby modified as follows:
Appendix A, attached to this' supplemental agreement and made a part hereof, 1.
provides for the research to be performed by the Contractor during the contract period specified therein.
2.
In Article II - The Period of Performance, the date " September 29, 1981 "
is substituted for'the date " June 30, 1981 3.
In Article III - Consideration, the sum "$482,980.00" is substituted for the sum "$457,980.00".

f Contract No. NRC-04-76-38 CONT?.ACTCR: PURDUE RESEARCH FOUNDATION APPENDIX A For the Contract period July 1,1981 through September 29, 1981 Article A-I RESEARCH TO BE PERF0PGED BY CONTRACTOR (a)
The scope of work under this contract is unclassified and shall be in accordance with Contractor's proposal entitled, "An Integrated Geophysical and Geological Study of the Tectonic Framework of the 38th Parallel Lineament in the Vicinity of its Intersection with the Extension of the New Madrid Fault Zone" is as follows:
Objectives 1.
Continue all aspects of current contract.
2.
Emphasize geophysical modeling and integration of ;rustal seismic, gravity, and magnetic data.
3.
Conduct limited field studies to collect gravity and ground magnetic data in critical segments of the survey area.
(b)
The Principal Investicator expects to devote the following approximate amount (s) of time to the contcact work:

Indirect costs based on a predetermined rate of 41 percent applicable to MTDC (Modified Total Direct Costs).
MTDC equals total directs costs less.(1) permanent equipment, (2) subcontracts over $25,000.00, (3) computer costs, (4) fee remissions, (5) tuition and fees, and (6) external conferences.
