Dear Mr. Keppler:

Interim Report of 10CFR50.55(e) Item on Terminations to Receptacles on G.E. Panels (Relay Room)

(#27)-

This additional intarim report on the terminations to receptacles on G.E. panels problem has been prepared to provide you with the current status of this problem.

The problem was ini tially reportec by Detroit Edison's Mr. H. A. Walker, 8

Supervisor-Construction Quality Ar surance, to Mr. P.

f.. Barrett of NRC Region 111 during an NRC on-site inspection.

It had been noted at that-time that a number of wire connections to the terminations on the receptacles of some G.E. supplied panels in the Enrico Fermi 2 Control Room appeared to be loose.

Subsequent investigation revealed that this problem also exis ts in G.E. supplied panels in the Fermi 2 relay room.

The problem has been corrected in the Cc,ntrol Room; however, action to be taken on the G.E. supplied panels in the relay room has not yet been determined.

Evaluation uf this problem to determine an acceptable resolution is continuing.

Another report on this item, either interim or final, is scheduled to be sent to you on or before November 25, 1981.

If you have questions concern-ing this matter, please contact Mr. H. A. Walker, Supervisor-Construction Quality Assurance.

Very truly yours, J2, l'
