This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. W. J. Slawinski of this office on July 16, 1981, of activities at T. C. Hobbs and Associates, Inc., authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 34-17575-01 and to the discussion of our findings with you and Carolyn Williams at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted tc. der your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspec-tion consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
In addition to the above areas, the inspector examined actions described in your letter dated October 8,1978, regarding apparent items of noncom-pliance found during our August 28, 1978 inspecti on.
We have no further questions.regarding items No. I and No. 3.
However, item No. 2 is a repeat violation as described in the enclosed Appendix A.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in non-compliance with NRC requirements, as specified in enclosed Appendix A.
A written response, submitted under oath or affirmation, is required.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
