BOARD NOTIFICATION - THI-1 RESTART HEARING (BN-81-17A)
This memnanduc is a followup' to our memorandum to you dated July 28, 1981 regarding matters and activities which could bear on the proceedings for the resf. art of Tl4I-1.
The Juiy 28, 1981 memorandum informed you of si_milarities in the answers to certain questions received from some individuals on reactoroperator -
written examinaticas given on April 21 threagh 24, 1981; and that the NRC Staff (OIE) was conducting an investigation.
The OIE f r.vestigation has been completed. Currently available information on the results of tne OIE investigation is provided in the enclosed memorandum from the Director. OIE to the Director, NRR.
Also, the General Public Util. ties' (GPU) letter from R. C. ' Arnold to Victor Stello dated August 4,1981 informing the NRC Staff of actions they are taking with respect to this.. issue.is provided in the enclosure. GPU also provided a notice of this action directly to the Board on August 4,1981.
The NRC Staff is conducting an in-depth review of. actions to improve its adainistration of all reactor operator license examinations and is-comidering wlether there should be a reexamination of the other persons who took the Ti1I-l exam last April.
