Description j
Packaging for uranium enriched in the U-235 isotope.
The containment vessel consists of DOT Spec 2A or 2N metal inner l
l container, 6-3/16 inches diameter by 8-3/4-iRches high.
The containment vessel is centered and supported within a 16-(
gage outer steel drum with a 14-gage head, DDT Spec 6J or equivalent, by solid foamed boron silicate glass.
The outer steel drum is 22-1/2 inches diameter by 22 inches high.
The outer steel drum closure must be at least a 12-gage bol ted ring with drop forged lugs, one of which is threaded, and having a 5/3-inch steel bolt and lock nut.
The package gross weight is 145 pounds.
