Subject:

LaSalle County Station Unit 1 Fuel Loading Schedule NRC Docket No. 50-373 Reference (1):

L. O. DelGeorge letter to A.

Schwencer dated May 5, 1981

Dear Mr. Schwencer:

The purpose of this submittal is to revise the informatica submitted in Reference (1) relative to the estimated fuel loading date for LaSalle County Unit 1.

The previously reported fuel load date of September 15, 1981 must be revised to~ December 1, 1981.

This revision results from the additional time required to complete the design and installation of support modifications required to resolve the Mark II Containment hydrodynamic load issue, as well as the extension of final preoperational testing impacted by construction completion activities.

This schedule has been discussed with the NRC Region III Office of Inspection and Enforcement, and it is judged to conform to that Offices' current projected fuel load date for Unit 1.

In as much as every effort is being made to expedite completion of Unit 1, we remain hopeful that some improvement in this date can be 1

i achieved.

However, at this time an uncertainty of no greater than two weeks (+) is being assigned for planning purposes.

In the event you have any questions in this regard, please direct them to this office.

Very truly yours, l

J C
