This revision contains:

1. Revised Chapter 7, " Instrumentation and Controls"

2. Responses to NUREG-0737, " Post TMI Requirements" (Volume 16)

3. Minor Corrections / Clarifications Please note that the responses to NUREG-0737 do not reflect the results of the recent series of meetings between LILCO and your staff. These recent agreements have been formalized in various letters and will be reflected in future amendments to the FSAR.

Three (3) signed originals of Amendment 40 and an additional sixty (60) copies are being transmitted herewith. Instructions for making the necessary page changes are included for your convenience.
