On May 26,1981, the Uranium Recovery Licensing Branch issued a notice l
for publication in the Federal Register stating that a determination had been made on the matter of exemption from land ownership transfer i
requirements of Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (Public Law 95-604) for Anaconda Copper Company's proposed Rhode Ranch Project in Texas.
It was determined that sufficient grounds exist for granting such an~ exemption in this case, subject to conditions stipulated in the environmental assessment prepared by the staff. The determination would i
become effective, the notice stated, following a 30-day coment period, and as no comments were received, the detemination became effective.
Therefore, this project should be considered completed.
