<N JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT - UNITS 1 AND 2 IMPLEMENTATION OF NPF-8 LICENSE CONDITION 2.D Gentlemen:
Subsequent to my letter dated March 4,1981 to Mr. H. R. Denton which contained changes to the Farley Nuclear Plant Security Plan implementation schedule, the schedule for security equipment operation was incorporated in the Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 2 Operating License NPF-8 Section 2.D.
Alabama Power Company has complied with the requirements of the Physical Security Plan Sections 15.1d and f in that all vital area doors have positive access control by the use of an operational door access control system and all vital crea barriers have qualified alarms. Alabama Powee Company has complied with Section 15.1g in that approved compensatory measures have been placed in effect for the service water protected area.
These commnsatory measures will remain in effect until the new CCTV design and equipment is fully operational. This equipment is presently scheduled to be redesigned and delivered by November 1, 1981 and operational by December 1, 1981.
