10 11 12 APPLICAUT'S GPPOSITION TO INTERVENOR'S MOTION FOR RECONSIDERATION g

14 15 Applicant, THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, 16 is opposed to "Intervenor's Motion for Reconsideration of Certain 17 Portions of Protective Order of July 1, 1981, Relative to 18 Interrogatories VI. 55a, b,c, 57c, 59 and 60." Applicant has 19 argued that the subject interrogatories inquire into matters that' 20 are irrelevant to this proceeding as a result of the determination 21 made by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board in its March 20, 22 '1981 order (" order Subsequent to Second Prehearing Conference").

23 The Board sustained applicant's objection to the questions in its 24 July 1, 1981 order. Reconsideration of this matter at this time 25 would unduly delay these proceedings. 93 3

1 In the event that the Board grants the motion for 2 reconsideration, Applicant will, at that time in accordance with the 3 Commission's rules of practice, file an appropriate response on the 4 substantive matters accepted for reconsideration.
