Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Potential Significant Deficiency 10 CFR 50.55 (e)
Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On January 16, 1981, Mr. John K. Rausch at the NRC Region II office was notified of a potential significant deficiency as defined by 10 CFR 50.55 (e).
The item involved the RC Drain Tank control valve actuator, which was not fully assembled. A thirty day interim report was sent on February 13, 1981.
This item was designated as LII 81-04-04 in an NRC Audit Report.
Subsequently, a complete engineering evaluation determined this item as not reportable by 10 CFR 50.55 (e) criteria.
It is, therefore, requested item 81-04-04 oe closed due to the evaluation as non reportable.
