Attention: Mr. James P. O'Reilly Gentlemen:

In our previous letter, Georgia Power Company indicated a final response concerning the reportability of the above-referenced item would be submitted to the Commission on or before July 17, 1981.

Georgia Power Company has recently received an engineering evaluation concerning these penetrations, which preliminarily indicated that the above item was not reportable under 10 CFR 50.55e or Part 10 CFR 21.

Currently this evaluation is being.eviewed by Georgia Power Company.

Georgia Power Company now expects to submit a final report to the Commission by August 7, 1981, noncerning the reportability of the above item.

This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
