Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. s 2.720, Staff rvspectfully requests that the attached subpoena ad testificanduo be issued to Thomas 'i. Baer. This subpoena is necessary since tir. Baer is a former employee of U.S. Ecology uno until several conths ago was a company executive involved in auch of the opera-tional and sanagement decisions regarding nuclear waste disposal at the Sheffield site.

You will be examined concerning operations, maintenance, and site performance at the low level nuclear waste dis 90 sal site of U.S. Ecology Co., Inc. in Sheffield, Illinois.
