S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C. 20555 Re: Point Beach Nuclear Plant Unit 1 Docket 50-266
Dear Mr. Denton:
By letter dated July 4, 1981, we formally petitioned the Commission to issue an order prohibiting Wisconsin Electric Power Company f rom increasing the power level at Point Beach 1 f rom approximately 75% to 85%.
News accounts indicate that the utility returned the unit to service at 85% on Monday, July 20, 1981.
Yet, to date, we have not received even the courtesy of an acknowledgement of receipt of our petition, nevertheless an informed decision.
We believe that an answer and reason therefore should be given us, even if rendered after-the-fact.
