Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

s.

i I.E. BULLETIN 79-02 FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 During the second refueling outage, Alabama Power Company completed an anchor bolt upgrade program.

There are now fewer than 5% of the concrete expansion anchor bolts with safety factors less tnan the bulletin requirements on any system within the scope of the program. Alabama Power Company believes these actions have brought Farley Unit 1 into full compliance with the bulletin requirements.

Very truly yours, F. L. Clayton Jr.
