Dear Mr. Soong:

Per our many conversations and your letter dated April 9, 1981, enclosed please find the re-submittal of our application for renewal of our NRC Lic. No.

SNM-107 and our current Radiation Safety Code and Quality Control Manual.

The following is a list of sections in our Radiation Safety Code 9nd Quality Control Manual where you may find the specific answers to the questions brought forth in your letter: Questions 1 through 3 are general and there is no specific reference; Question 4 - Sections I-2.4 and I-3.2-14; Question 5 - Section I-4.2.7; Question 6 - III-3.3.3.4; Question 7 - Sections II-1.2 and III-3.2.

Our occupational airborne concentration levels from January 1,1981 through March 31, 1981, shewed an average value of 0.5*6 of the Maximum Permissible Con-centrations listed in 10CFR20 Appendix B Table I Column I for U235 The maximum one week concentration detected during the quarter was 9.4*6 of MPC.

1 Cur TLD badge results for the 1980 year indicate little chance of overexposure or of lowering the dose received. Sixteen badges (four per quarter) were read for employees involved in SNM-107 licensed activities. The breakdown is as follows:

9 badges were recorted as O mrem; 1 badge was reported as 15 mrem; 3 badges were reported as 20 mrem; and 3 badges were reported as 25 mrem. The average exposure calculates to less than 6.5 mrem per quarter per badge in excess of background.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 7.>

(201) 664-7070, Extension 225.

E Sincerely,

.pI ;.
