In accordance with your revised application dataiMay 1, 1981, and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Materials License No.
SW-1067 is hereby amended to authorize the possession of 4.0 kg uranium having enrichments <93% 23sU in any fom.of wastes and to repackage the wastes for disposal in a licensed disposal facility.
The amendment shalt remain in effect for 9 months.from the date of this letter or until the waste materials have been shipped off-site, whichever is sooner, and is authorized subject:.to the following conditions:
- Condition.29.
Notwithstandinp the request to calculate the quantity of 23'U in eacn drum using the method

outlined in Attachment B-ll, the uranium content shall be calculated from its ppm content expressed on a total uranium ass basis.
Condition 30.
Within 60 days of the issuance of this amendment, the licensee shall submit a detailed plan for the decontamination of the soil in the waste material i
staging area identified in your revised application dated May.1,1981 in accordance with the attached criteria.
Ai. other conditions of this license shall remain the same.
Conditions 29 and 30 were discussed and agreed to by your Mr. P. R. Rosenthal and Mr. Norman Ketzlach of my staff on June 12, 1931.
I* should be noted the NRC must make a confirmatory survey of the area and aree the contamination levels are low enough to be released for unrestrict use.
