Riedlinger und Mr. D. Skov of this office on June 9,1981, at Building 131, Camp Parks where materials have been used under NRC Li'.ense 04-01043-10.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this inspection.
This inspection consisted of a confirmatory radiological survey performed relative to the decontamination of Building 131 for release for un-restricted use. This is the second such survey to be performed by Region V personnel. The first survey was conducted by Ms. B. Riedlinger and Mr.
D. Skov on April 21 and 22, 1981. The results of the first survey are documented in NRC Report 81-01, which was forwarded to Mr. J. L. Thomas of your office with a letter dated May 13, 1981. The areas examined and the results of the June 9,1981 survey are described in the enclosed inspection report.
Based upon the results of this survey, it was determined that additional decontamination is required in some areas of the interior of Building 131.
Pursuant to the request to have NRC License No. 04-01043-10 terminated as stipulated in the SRI letter dated April 6,1981, it should be under-stood that the license can not be terminated or the facility released for unrestricted use until the facility has been decontaminated by the licensee to acceptable limits, and a final confirmatory radiological survey has been conducted 'oy NRC inspectors.
