This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. R. Mu11auer of this office on June 16, 1981, of activities authorized by NRC Rvproduct Material Licenses No. 12-00610-02 and No. 12-00610-03 and to the discussxon of our findings with John Maiden, George Hord, M.D. and Ram Basavatia at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiatior safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspection con-sisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
In addition to the above areas, the inspector examined actions described in letter dated February 21, 1979, signed by Ram Basavatia regarding corrective action taken on the apparent item of noncompliance found during our August 23, 1978, inspection of License No. 12-00610-02.
We hsve no futher questions regarding this matter.
During this inspection, no items of noncompliance were identified for License No. 12-00610-03; however, for License No. 12-00610-02 certain of your activities appeared to be in noncompliance with h7C requirements, as described in the en-closed Appendix A.
A written response, submitted under oath or affirmation, is required.
