J. G. Keppler letter to Cordell Reed dated April 9, 1981.
(b):
T. J. Rausch letter to J.
G. Keppler dated May 8, 1981.
Dear Mr. Keppler:
Refe)en'ce(b)providedtheCommonwealthEdisonCompany response to the subject Bulletin for our Dresden, Quad Cities, LaSalle Caunty and Zion Stations.
The attachment to this letter provides the Reference (a) requested information for our Byron and Braidwood Stations.
The attached report identifies t'.e affected valves, their planned service, the maximum differential pressure at which these valves would be required to close, the saf'ety consequences of the valve's failure to close and the planned corrective action.
A schedule for implementing the corrective action is expected from Westinghouse in the near future.
Our schedule for completing this corrective action is January 1, 1982.
Our estimate of the hours expended in the review and preparation of the enclosed Byron and Braidwood report is eight hours.
This does not, however, account for the Westinghouse efforts expended on this matter.
Additionally, it is expected to require eighteen hours per unit to implement the corrective action.
