This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. W. P. Reichhold of this office on May 21, 198;, of activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material Licenses No. 12-15880-01 and No. 12-15880-02E and to the discussion of our find-ings with you and Mr. Charles J. Neubauer at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspec-tion consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in noncom-pliance with NRC requirements, as specified in enclosed Appendix A.
A written response, submitted under oath or affirmation, is required.
Items 1 through 6 in Appendix A refer to License No. 12-15880-01 and item 7 refers to License No.
12-15880-02E. This inspection also included a review of the actions described in your letter dated May 22, 1978, regarding the apparent items of noncompliance identified during our April 27, 1978, inspection. We have no further questions j
regarding this matter.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
