Dear Mr. Grier:
The subject Bulletin has requested that a determination be made concerning the possibility of having Westinghouse Electro-MecDanical Division (W-EMD) 3 inch valves and/or Borg-Warner Nuclear Valve Division (BW-NVD), 3 inch 1,500 pound Motor operated Valves as identified in that Bulletin, installed or maintained as spares for installation at Shoreham.
A review of all valves utilized at Shoreham has been performed and it has been determined that none of the valves as identified in the subject Bulletin have been installed and/or planned for installation at this station.
To assist the NRC in evaluating the value/ impact of this Bulletin, we estimate that approximately 16 engineering manhours have been expended in responding to this Bulletin.
