Dear Ms. Bell:
TQi\\
This is in respon::e to your letter of June 11, 1981, wherein you requested that the Coalition for Safe Power (CFSP) be placed on the NRC distribution list to receive copies of all documents, correspon-dence, etc. relating to the Trojan Nuclear Plant.
Your request comes at a time when NRC is making a concerted effort to reduce mailing costs. Adding CFSP to our distribution 111st for all Trojan-related documents would add substantial and unnecessary costs considering the close proximity of the Trojan local public document room (LFDR) to your office. The Trojan LPDR was recently moved from St. Helens to Portland to better serve the greater number of people and groups interested in the regulatory activities at Trojan.
We will, however, place CFSP on our distribution list to receive weekly copies of the Trojan accession list. This document lists all correspondence relating to Trojan, which can then be inspected at the nearby LPDR at the Multnomah County Library, 801 S.W.10th Avenue.
Portland.
Your letter and recent telephone calls stated that you have been unable to find some documents at the LPDR. Some of these problems may have been caused by or during the LPDR move; others may be due to the rovised filing system recently adopted.
If you have any difficulty locating documents, you should discuss the problem with Jim Takata at the library, or call the LPDR Branch toll-free (800-638-8081) for assistance. We will, of course, send copies of any missing documents to the LPDR.
