Docket Hos. 50 -514 and 50-5" 5
Dear members of the Board,
On April 28, 1981, I 'igned a stipulation regarding conten-tions and scheduling relating to further Febble Springs hearings on site suitability.
On this same day the Board issued &n "Crder Relative to PGE's.ruture Plan for Febble Springs" which states in part:
"Before the licensing Board proceeds further in this matter, we call attention of the parties and in particular ?SE to a recent item in Nucleonics Week."
]S Forelaws On Board is not clear as Oc the full extent of One Board's intention in this statement but we wculd respectfully D,L I
request an extension in time for the argument to be filed on cur class 9 contention which was due today.*
- inen the date was set for See page 6 of " Stipulation Regarding Contentions and Scheduling",
l issued May 1, 1981.

2 filing this argument I was a party to Bonneville Fower Administra-tior.'s Proposed-Wholesale and Transmission Rate Increase Proceeding.
At the time hearings were scheduled to end the week of April 13, allowing adequate time to prepare our argument.
This was later changed to April 27 and the hearing will now actually end today.
These schedule chtages, combined with a recent respiratsry infection of a week 's duration, have made it impossible co.eet the deadline for my argu.ent on Forelaws On Soard's class 9 contention.
In light of the April 28, 1961, Board's order, which will re-quire an investigation on our part into the matters described in
!.'uc lecr.ic s 'deek, I respectfully request that the submission of cur argument on class 9 be timed one week following the Board's resolu-tion of its April 28 or. der.
Respectfully submitted,
