FUEL POOL HEAT EXCHANGERS, CONSTRUCTION PERMIT CPPR 88, DOCKET NO. 5C-358, W. O. 57300-957 J08 E-5590 Gentlemen:
On April 6,1981, the NRC' Site Senior Resident Inspector was notified by phone of a possible 10CFR50.55(e) condition regarding tube failures in the Fuel Pool Heat Exchangers which appeared to be due to an excessive tube vibration situation.
Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co. is continuing to investigate this item.
The present status of this investigation indicates that the item is not report-able under 50.55(e).

A final report will be submitted within sixty (60) days.
