Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
In response to your Generic Letter 81-04, dated February 25, 1981, we submit the following inforr:ation concerning station blackout events at the Perry Plant.
1.
An event specific prot adure which addresses a station blackout event will be developed prior to initial cold licensing. This procedure will, as a MMmun, provide guidance for the concerns identified in your letter.
2.
We are actively participating in the General Electric EWR Owners Group efforts to develop symptom oriented energency precedures. These pro-cedures when drafted, will provide the correct guidance.for assuring adequate core cooling and containnent integrity for the station black-out event. The utilization of these emergency procedures, if required by plant conditions, will be concomitant with the event specific procedure for the station blackout event previously described. The emer6ency procedures will also be developed prior to initial cold licensing.

Training in the use of the emergency procedures, as well as the specific station blackout procedure will be conducted on the Perry simulator prior to initial cold licensing, If you require further irforation, please let me know.
