Dear Mr. Keppler:

This is to provide additional information regarding our response to the item of noncompliance which was identified in Reference (a).

In Reference (b), it was indicated that the Zion hold-up tank level instruments would be recalibrated when operating conditions permit.

At that time it was expected that those calibrations would be complete by December 31, 1980.

As of September 30, 1980, recalibration was completed on two of the three hold up tanks.

The number 2 tank has not been recalibrated yet l

because of high tank levels and our inability to reduce these levels I

due to boric acid evaporator problems and a number of unit outages.

Our plans now call for recalibration of this.

't gauge by June 1, 1981.

Please address questions regarding this matter to this office.

Very truly yours,

!?, f l
