Texas A&M University, I wish to inform you in accordance with 10CFR55.41 (Operator Disability) that Dr. Robert G. Cochran, License Number SOP-102-8, is currently in the hospital and considered disabled. During the per_od of Dr. Cochran's absence the AGN201 reactor, as described in license R-23, Docket.50-59, will remain shutdown.

Duties of Chief Administrative Officer of the facility will be fulfilled by Dr. Gerald A. Schlapper, a menber of the faculty of the Nuclear Engineering Department. Dr. Schlapper obtained several years experience in reactor operations at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (R-103) and was a licensed operator (OP-3417) at the Missouri facility.

Please note that Dr. S c:.la p p e r contacted Mr. James Gagliardo of Region IV, USNRC on April 13, 1981 with additional background information.
