Dear Mr. Partlow:
This is a request for exemption from License Condition 3.1 and 10 CFR 70.58.e to receive and stor535 of SNM 3 tamper a
safed drums containing greater than 10 g U from U'.!C Recovery Systems, Wood River Junction, Rhode Island without further SNM measurements, This material for export was packed and tamper safed under witness at UNC Recovery Systems and UNC Naval Products is acting only as a storage agent until export conditions are met.
It is undetermined at this time how long this material will be in vault storage.
This material is UNC Private, will appear on Reporting Identification Symbol YKJ and will be in-cluded in each bi-monthly SNM inventory until shipped.
Should any compromise of the inner tamper-safe condition be noted while these drums are in storage, NRC will be notified and a complete investigation to include sampling and assay will be conducted.
I hope you will be able to act favorably on this request for one time exemption.
